Official Contest Rules

Do you posses the imagination, innovation, and the congenial nature that it takes to be Miami's Most "Liked" Artist? Have you always dreamt of exclusively showcasing your artwork at an art gallery during one of the most popular local art events? Prove it! Ave 74- A Miami Art Gallery- has brought back its hit art contest- Miami's Most Liked! with a few new twists and grander opportunities! The very deserving contest winners will receive a free, featured display at Ave 74 during February's Bird Road Art Walk along with some custom framing for the event!

Contest open to professionals, amateurs, students, who paint, draw, photograph, use mixed media, sculpture, or any other type of dimentional art!

Awards

First Place: Featured space at Ave 74 during February's Bird Road Art Walk (February 16, 2013)! $1000 worth of custom framing for your exhibit, 1000 professional business cards, and free marketing, promotion and social media for the show!

Second Place: Featured space at Ave 74 during February's Bird Road Art Walk (February 16, 2013) $500 worth of custom framing for your exhibit and free marketing,promotion and social media for the show! 

Third Place: Featured space at Ave 74 during February's Bird Road Art Walk (February 16, 2013) $250 worth of custom framing for your exhibit, and free marketing, promotion and social media for the show!

Fourth Place: Featured space at Ave 74 during February's Bird Road Art Walk (February 16, 2013) and free marketing, promotion and social media for the show!

Participation Prize: All participants will be automatically given the choice, on a first come first serve basis, to display two pieces of art during January's Bird Road Art walk (January 19, 2013) alongside the rest of the participant's entries. Please be vigilant of your emails for all information regarding drop off/deadlines for this event. All participants will also be gifted a free entry into January's PAINT PARTY/ RAVE.

How To Enter

Shoot a photo of your best work and submit it along with your name, the medium used to create your piece, the size of your piece, and a couple of sentences detailing the inspiration behind your artwork to:

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME IN THE SUBJECT OF THE EMAIL.

All photos submitted to the contest will be posted in our Miami's Most Liked Artist  Facebook© photo album, within 48 hours, from the day they are received. Any photos received after deadline will not be entered. All submitted photos will be judged by the total number of “likes” received before the close of the contest. "Miami's Most Liked Artist" Contest is open to all artists- all mediums, sizes and styles ranging from abstract sculpting, paintings and photography to anything else that you can create!

How To Get Votes

All participants are responsible for gathering their own votes. Once your photo has been posted, get everyone you know to "like" your photo! Before the votes count however, each voter must also like Ave 74's Facebook page.

Contest Dates and Entry Deadline

Beginning Tuesday, November 6th 2012, the contest will be open for participation.

Friday, February 1, 2013 at approximately 12:00am, the contest will be closed. No votes or entries will be accepted past this point.

The winners will be announced on Facebook within 48 hours of contest end.

Important Infomation you MUST Know

All participants that confirm their one piece display for the January Art Walk must have displays for their artwork. IE: Appropriate stands for sculptures (unless they are free standing), and frames for painted pieces/photography, etc. Any framed art pieces that require hanging MUST have a wire on the back. These pieces will be hung at no charge by the galleries. If your frame is missing a wire, Frames USA will be more than happy to add one at a charge of $2.00 each. We also provide discounted custom framing services for those participants that are interested.
